We’re proud to share that Adonis McCrary has been selected as this year’s Pursuit of Excellence Scholarship recipient!
Adonis is a standout senior at Frederick Douglass High School, where he will soon graduate at the top of his class. In the fall, he will begin an exciting new chapter as a freshman at Morehouse College, one of the nation’s most prestigious historically Black colleges and universities. With a GPA soaring above 4.0, Adonis has demonstrated not only academic excellence but also a deep commitment to personal growth and leadership.
Throughout his high school career, Adonis has accumulated a long list of awards, honors, and distinctions. He has been actively involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including student government, academic clubs, and community outreach programs. In addition to excelling in the classroom, he has volunteered countless hours to serve his community—mentoring younger students, organizing service events, and advocating for positive change.
Adonis exemplifies the spirit of the Pursuit of Excellence Scholarship. His work ethic, compassion for others, and relentless determination to make a difference in the world are truly inspiring. We are honored to be part of his academic journey and thrilled to support his goals as he takes this next step toward a bright future.
