The Balams Firm is pleased to announce that Deana Kukhianidze has been selected as a recipient of The Balams Firm’s College Scholarship. Congratulations Deana!
We would like to thank all of the bright young students who applied, sharing their amazing stories and varied accomplishments. We were quite impressed with Miss Kukhianidze’s strong academic credentials, extra-curricular activities, and her drive as an immigrant from the Republic of Georgia to achieve the American dream and give back to her community.
Miss Kukhianidze is an active member in several organizations, including Parkview Panther Marching Band, Parkview Leadership Team, Parkview Science National Honor Society, Parkview Beta Club, and the Parkview National Honors Society. Further, Miss. Kukhianidze has been bestowed with several honors, including Outstanding Academic Achievement, Outstanding Achievement in Advanced Placement Statistics, Highest Achievement in Gifted Biology, and Junior Language Arts Students of the Year. Finally, Miss Kukhianidze has demonstrated her commitment to her community by serving as a math and science tutor, and participating in donation drives for school supplies and UNICEF.
Miss Kukhianidze currently holds a 4.0 GPA at Parkview High School, and will graduate in May 2019. She will attend Augusta University in the fall, and plans to major in Cell and Molecular Biology. Miss Kukhianidze aspires to become a dentist, and her dream is to provide affordable dental care to her community.
The Balams Firm offers a college scholarship each year to aspiring students with strong academic credentials, and a desire to help their community.
