Fast forward to the present, Deana is now thriving in her second year of dental school, passionately pursuing a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. Her educational foundation, laid at Augusta University, includes a distinguished B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology.
Reflecting on the profound impact of receiving The Balams Firm Scholarship, Deana shares her sentiments,
“When you’re applying to any scholarship or college or program or what have you, you think you mentally prepare yourself for that call for acceptance, but you’re not prepared for it. Because the joy that you feel, it’s indescribable.
It’s a form of validation that your hard work is being paid off. That I’m one step closer to achieving my dream and becoming a dentist and doing all that I ever wanted.”
